South Florida legal help: Catholic Legal Services’ Broward office was included in a June 2026 Haitian-community resource guide at 954-306-9537. The same guide lists the Florida Immigrant Coalition hotline for statewide help.
Georgia
Immediate assistance: Call 211, or text your ZIP code and need to 898-211. Georgia 211 connects families to food, emergency financial assistance, housing, utilities, and community programs.
Immigration consultation for people at imminent risk: We Are CASA legal hotline: 1-866-765-2272. Its Georgia services include Know Your Rights education and limited remote consultations for people facing imminent ICE detention or deportation.
New York
New York currently has one of the strongest centralized immigrant-resource systems.
New York City: Call 311 and say “Immigration Legal,” or call 1-800-354-0365. NYC also directs immigrants to 311 for food, housing, childcare, clothing, and certain cash-assistance resources. Some city services remain available without lawful immigration status, although eligibility must be evaluated program by program.
Massachusetts
Immediate basic-needs help: Call Mass 211 for food, shelter, healthcare, immigration resources, and other emergency support. The Massachusetts Attorney General specifically identified Mass 211 as a resource for Haitian and Syrian TPS holders following the 2026 TPS developments.

Connecticut
Connecticut has announced a particularly important form of targeted relief.
The governor submitted a request directing $5 million to support Connecticut residents affected by TPS changes, including Haitian TPS holders. The funding is intended to flow through the Department of Social Services and refugee-service organizations. The exact services and application procedures may still be developing, so residents should call Connecticut 211 and ask specifically about the TPS emergency-relief funding announced in July 2026.

Connecticut Legal Services: 860-344-0447 for qualifying undocumented immigrants outside greater Hartford or New Haven. The organization states that it serves undocumented residents and does not discriminate based on immigration status.

Immediate help: Call NJ 211, available 24 hours a day by telephone, text, chat, and online referral. Ask for emergency food, rent, utility, shelter, healthcare, and immigration-support programs.
Civil and immigration legal assistance: Legal Services of New Jersey provides free assistance to qualifying low-income New Jersey residents, including immigration representation and housing-related legal matters.
Pennsylvania
Immediate help: Dial 211 and request food, eviction prevention, utility support, shelter, healthcare, and immigration legal referrals.
Pennsylvania Immigration Resource Center: 717-600-8099. PIRC provides free legal representation, counseling, education, and advocacy for vulnerable immigrants.
Maryland
Immediate help: Dial 211. Maryland 211 can locate food, housing, utility, healthcare, and free or low-cost legal programs.
Catholic Charities immigration intake: 240-858-0958 for immigration legal-service screening and referrals.
Relief that families should request specifically
When calling, people should not merely say, “I need help.” They should name the emergency:
“I lost my job because my TPS work authorization ended. I have no current income. I need emergency food, rent or mortgage help, utility protection, healthcare, transportation, and an immigration legal screening. I have children in my household.”
